Seoul Sale Calendar 2026–27
Every big sale in Seoul from November to March. Announced dates are kept apart from expected ones (based on last year), with whether tourists can use each sale and whether it's in stores or online.
Sales are listed by date. Announced ones have a source. Expected ones are not out yet; the dates follow last year (2025), and we update this page when they're announced.

Olive Young: Black Friday vs the season sale
- Season sale (올영세일): Olive Young holds it four times a year (March, June, September, December) in every store and online, with 1,500+ brands. The December 2025 edition ran Nov 30 – Dec 6.
- Black Friday: Nov 1–7 in 2024 and 2025; not announced for 2026. Past offers were mostly app coupons.
- The 25th–27th of each month are member days, mainly for Korean members.
- In stores, tourists pay the shelf sale price; show your passport at the till for an instant tax refund.
Department stores: November winter sale and January New Year sale
Lotte, Shinsegae and Hyundai run joint sales four or five times a year: early January, April, June–July, October and mid-to-late November. Sale prices are given at the counter, so tourists get them too. The foreigner coupons are separate; ask the counter whether they combine with sale prices. Louis Vuitton, Hermès and Chanel don't take part.
MUSINSA and online platforms
MUSINSA's Black Friday runs twice a year (summer and winter); winter 2025 was Nov 16–26 with about 4,500 brands. Buying online needs Korean phone verification, so tourists do better in stores: foreign shoppers make up over 40% of sales at MUSINSA's Seongsu megastore. 29CM and W Concept are online only and of limited use to visitors.
Korea Grand Sale: for foreign visitors only
The 2027 edition runs Dec 23, 2026 – Feb 13, 2027 (53 days) and covers Lunar New Year. Brands are announced after sign-ups close on Nov 30. Last time (Dec 17, 2025 – Feb 22, 2026) there were gifts and coupons at department stores, duty-free shops and outlets; Olive Young, MUSINSA Standard and others up to 90% off; and up to 15% off when paying with UnionPay or WOWPASS.
Lunar New Year
Seollal 2027 falls on Sunday Feb 7; the holiday is Feb 6–9 (Tuesday is a substitute day). In 2026, department-store branches each closed for two days on staggered dates, outlets closed on New Year's Day only, and big malls such as Lotte Mall Gimpo Airport opened at noon. Exact closures are usually published about a week ahead.
"Expected" dates are estimates from previous years, not announcements. Each store's own notice wins.
