Seoul Department Store Tourist Discounts 2026

All four give a 5% coupon on spends of ₩100,000 or more, and all need your passport. They differ in where you collect it, how many you get a month and what it stacks with.

Lotte Department Store (Myeongdong Main, Jamsil)

• Tourist Membership: 5% coupon on ₩100,000+, capped at ₩100,000 off per use. Welcome coupons on sign-up (valid 30 days), then monthly coupons, in limited numbers.
• How to pay: cash, foreign cards (Visa/Master/JCB/Amex/UnionPay), Alipay, WeChat Pay or LINE Pay. Korean cards and gift certificates don't count.
• Getting the card: show your passport, agree to the terms and verify your email, at the Myeongdong Main 1F Tax Refund Lounge (next to Gucci), the B1/1F/9F kiosks, or the Jamsil 1F tax refund desk.
• Excluded brands (per Lotte's VISITKOREA offer page): Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Chanel, Moncler, Thom Browne, Cartier, Bvlgari, Rolex, Patek Philippe, Boucheron, Tiffany, Van Cleef & Arpels.
• New since Oct 12, 2026: the "x CHECK IN SEOUL" card adds a 10% reward on ₩100,000+ at Lotte on top of the 5%. Press reports stress this is not a flat 15% off.
• UnionPay: Agricultural Bank of China cards up to 13% cashback, China CITIC Bank cards up to 12%, until December 2026 (caps not published).

Shinsegae (Myeongdong Main, Gangnam)

• Global Membership: 5% coupon at participating brands, up to 5 times a month (this comes from Klook and Creatrip; Shinsegae has no readable official page, so check on site).
• Where: Myeongdong Main THE ESTATE 13F Foreigner Service Center; Gangnam 8F foreigner desk.
• VISITKOREA members also get, until Dec 31: ₩10,000 off fashion and cosmetics, ₩5,000 off food, and beauty samples.
• Foreign-issued JCB cards at Gangnam and other branches: ₩10,000 off ₩100,000+ and ₩5,000 off ₩30,000+ food (same day only; receipts can't be combined).

Shinsegae Main Store

Hyundai (The Hyundai Seoul, Apgujeong, Trade Center)

• H.Point Global + VISITKOREA member: 5% coupon on ₩100,000+, 3 a month, plus a sheet-mask pack and 2 drinks a month, until Dec 31.
• Where: Global Service Desk at The Hyundai Seoul 6F, Apgujeong Main 3F or Trade Center 3F.
• World Pass around COEX (to end-2026, free with a foreign passport): 5% coupon on ₩100,000+ at the Trade Center store and a 15% coupon at Hyundai Duty Free Trade Center.
• Note: the August 2026 news about Hyundai's new foreigner card is a credit card for residents staying 6+ months, not a tourist coupon.

Galleria Luxury Hall (Apgujeong)

New Global Members get a 5% coupon and a drink voucher (official newsroom, Oct 2, 2026). The October promotion (spend gifts, Alipay+ ₩100,000 off ₩3,000,000+) ended on Oct 7.

With tax refunds and mobile payments

• The tax refund is a government VAT refund, separate from the coupons: ₩15,000 minimum per receipt; instant refund at the till under ₩1,000,000 per purchase and ₩5,000,000 per trip. No official page says coupons and refunds can't be combined.
• Whether same-day receipts can be added together for the refund varies by store; ask the tax refund desk.
• Lotte's 5% coupon requires paying with Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay or a foreign card, so those already stack by design.
• Most Golden Week Alipay, WeChat Pay and UnionPay promotions ended Oct 7–11; no November campaign was announced as of Oct 21.

Do these coupons work at outlets?

Lotte's tourist card page and Hyundai's coupon desks list department stores only, not outlets, so don't count on it. Shinsegae's outlets have their own foreigner e-coupon.
